I put my faith in ‘Mare Power’
Some folk consider the quality of the sire to be more important than the quality of the dam. However, others maintain that the mare is the most important parent. Because stallions can produce far more offspring than mares, a single stallion can have a greater overall impact on a breed. However, the mare may have a greater influence on an individual foal because its physical characteristics influence the developing foal in the womb and the foal also learns habits from its dam when young.
Clearly having the best dam and stallion you can find is the ideal. I decided early on to put my faith in “Mare power“. Mainly because I have always preferred mares to handle. I have owned and stood Stallions but I prefer to have a range of Mares from proven bloodlines and ship-in semen from the best stallions from across the world there fore allowing me to be constantly improve my breeding.

The Stallions
Here are a sample of the Stallions I have bred from over the past few years:-
Every time I bring a new Mare to the stud I do my best to improve my stock and increase the range of proven bloodlines. The following are my current “herd” and are, in my opinion, the best I have ever owned and some of the best in Europe, if not the world. Below are short introductions with some pictures. More details can be found on their separate pages.
